Snyder, Rebecca Ethel

Rebecca Ethel Snyder, 91, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at the Kroontje Health Care Center.She was born in Panther, W.Va., on March 9, 1923, to the late Lew and Mary Hagy Lester, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Simeon Modree “Mod” Snyder; and a son, Aubrey Snyder.

She issurvived by three daughters and son-in-law, Ramona L. Shaver ofLorton, Va., Sharon and Bobby Caldwell of Suffolk, Va., and Donna and Bob Stark of Wendell, N.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alvin and Janet Snyder ofRadford, Va., and Wayne and Carol Snyder of Daleville, Va.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014,in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Dennis Kinnan, Sam McCracken, and Jared Snyder officiating.Interment will follow at Walker Snyder Cemetery, Longshop.
