Beulah Joann (Jan) Snyder, 72, formerly of Narrows and recently of Medina, Ohio went to be with the Lord on February 4, 2007 at Akron General Hospital after an automobile accident.

Born in The Clendennin Community of Giles County on August 2, 1934, she was a daughter of the late John Raymond and Vera Deaton Slaughter.

Jan was a licensed Pentecostal minister, beloved by all her church family. She and her husband had served as pastors of Colters Chapel in Jesus Name at Lindside.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, The Rev. Wayne Snyder ; a daughter, Becky Snyder; and a great-grandson, Joseph.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Victor and wife Cindy Snyder of N. Royalton, Ohio; daughters, Yvette Snyder of Chippewa, Ohio, Shelia Ramsdell of Seville, Ohio, and Teresha and husband John LaRue of Brunswick, Ohio; grandchildren, Joanna, Victoria, Jessica, Lindsay, and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren, Kearsten, Alexxis, and Alexzander; sister, Margaret and husband Lee Short of Medina, Ohio; nieces and nephews, Steven and Pamela Short, Joseph Meredith, Carol Ghafir, and Roger Meredith; and a sister-in-law Madeline S. Edwards.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Dan Deaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Deaton Cemetery in the Clendennin Community near Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
