Snidow, Barbara Janney

Barbara Ellen Janney Snidow, 76 of Narrows, VA departed this life on March 18, 2022 surrounded by the love of her family. Born on June 8, 1945 she was a daughter of the late David and Ilene Spicer Janney.

Barbara was proud of the life she and her husband Jimmy built for their children. She loved the opportunities and experiences working in extrusion on Celanese provided for over 20 years. In addition, she also enjoyed crochet, crafting and playing cards.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Janney Woods; and great-grandson, Cason Lucas.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her husband, Jimmy Snidow; sons, Kelly Snidow (Heather) of Pembroke, and Kenny Snidow (Beth) of Narrows; a daughter, Karen Galford (Melvin) of Narrows; grandchildren, Walker Snidow, Levi Galford, Courtney Snidow, Austin Snidow, Lyda Snidow, and Dalton Snidow; a great-granddaughter, Annaleigh Snidow; brother, Jerry Janney (Dreama) of Narrows; and sister, Dina Pettrey (Gary) of Princeton, WV.

There will be a funeral service conducted on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Brian Burch officiating. Funeral Services will conclude in Fairview Cemetery-Narrows. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel.
