Snider, Lavelle Lee

Lavelle Lee (Johnny) Snider, 79, of Pembroke, Va., departed this life Thursday morning, November 12, 2009, at her home following a brief illness. Born at Plasterco in Washington Co., Va. on December 11, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Drewey and Annie Bordwine Aistrop.

A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Lee Snider Sr.; a son, Curtis Wayne Snider; and several brothers and sisters. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons and daughters-in-law, Winfred L. “Bobby” and Vickie Snider, of Ripplemead, Harold D. and Cindy Snider, of Bent Mountain, Randy and Amina Snider, of Stafford; her daughters and sons-in-law, Dreama Snider, of Charleston, W.Va., Peggy and Roger Allen, of Christiansburg, Phyllis and David Cunningham, of Radford, Sandra and Jerry Bond, of Christiansburg, Carol Jean Rupe, of Radford; 16 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
