Snider, Franklin David

Franklin David Snider, 78, of Christiansburg, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011. He was well known as one of the best chef’s in the NRV area. He is survived by sisters, Eula McGuire, Bessie Snider, and Fannie Atkinson; brothers, Curtis Snider and Steve Snider. The family would like to thank friends, neighbors, hospice and New River Valley Medical Center for their dedicated care of their loved one. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home and Chapel with the Rev. Barry Van Steenburg officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends Friday, July 29, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society . The Snider family is being served by DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford.
