Snead, Carolyn Jane

Carolyn Jane Snead, age 66, of Christiansburg died, Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Heritage Hall Health Care Center. She was born in Blacksburg, Va. on May 17, 1948 to the late Ralph Palmer and Annie Mae Kanode Linkous.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Verlin Linkous.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Mae Alley, Christiansburg, son and daughter-in-law, David Ralph and Jolinda Linkous, Christiansburg, step son, Donnie and Angelia Pyles, Lakeland, Fla.,sisters and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Johnny Puckett, Smith Mt. Lake, Betty Linkous, Christiansburg, brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Joyce Linkous, Christiansburg, grandchildren, Jacob Odell, Spencer Linkous, Addison Linkous, Elijah Linkous, Sarah Pyles, Eli Pyles, Sam Pyles, great-grandchild, Alex Pyles, numerous nieces and nephews, special friend, Beatrice Linkous and Robin Duncan.

Special thanks to Heritage Hall Nurses, Kristi, Mary, Denise, Tammy and the rest of the staff, also the Southern Care Hospice, Mike and his staff.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 30, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Fairview Community Church with the Rev. Buford Linkous officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery, Norris Run.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn’s name to McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00 pm Sunday evening at the Church. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
