Smith, Virginia N.

In loving memory of Virginia N. Smith, 82, of Draper, VA. died on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 of natural causes.

She was the only daughter of Ota Lee Nester and Guida Ethel Dalton Nester. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Talmadge Alvin Nester, Kemel Nester, Thedford Nester, Doug Nester, and Cecil Nester.

Surviving are: Husband, Stuart Harvey Smith. Three children and a spouse, Joel Wayne Sutphin Jr., Tamara S. and Newton Simpkins, and Lisa Kay Sutphin. Grandchildren and spouses, Travis Ray and Alea Simpkins, Blake Allen and Reagan Sutphin. Great-grandchildren, Jillian, Jayden, Ava Sutphin, and Lilyanna Simpkins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Dr. C.R. Conner and Travis Ray Simpkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Saturday from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 1:00p.m. until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church (Family Worship Center) Memorial Drive, Pulaski, VA. 24301.
