Smith, Tyler Cole

Tyler Cole Smith, 7, son of Wally and Missy Smith, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at UVA Medical Center. He was born in Boston, Mass., on October 16, 2002.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, David and Irene Smith; and maternal great-grandfather, Jack Kipps.

He is survived by his parents; brothers, Dustin, Josh, and Justin Smith; paternal grandmother, Vicky Lee Smith, of Roanoke; maternal grandparents, Perry and Gale Kipps, of Christiansburg, and Debbie and Neal Willard, of Riner; maternal great-grandparents, Wendell and Dorothy Wright, of Blacksburg, and Waneta Kipps, of Blacksburg; aunt, Sandra Smith; and uncle, Brian Lee Kipps. He was also loved by many cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2010, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shake Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday evening, March 13, 2010, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va.
