Smith, Ruth McPeak

Ruth Ellen McPeak Smith, 81, of Draper, passed away on Thursday, January, 2, 2014, in the Highland Ridge Rehab Center. Born in Pulaski County on July 1, 1932, she was the daughter of the late K.D. and Mabel Spence McPeak.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jackson “Jack” Smith Sr.; her son, Thomas Jackson “TJ” Smith Jr.; brother, Lawrence McPeak; and sister, Beulah Umberger.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Curtis D. “Peewee” and Betty Smith; granddaughter, Heather Leigh Smith and Jeff Cox; sisters, Dora Lee McPeak, Christine and Wayne Morris, and Dorothy McPeak; and brother, Tommy and Glenna McPeak.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2014, from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Charles McPeak officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
