Smith, Peggy June

Peggy June Smith, 83, of Christiansburg, died, Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at her home. She was born in Peterstown, West Virginia on April 18, 1932. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eldridge Herman Smith, father, Oather H. Ferguson, mother, Thelma L. Ferguson, daughter, Lorraine, son, Earl, one sister, Allene Clemons, one brother, “Bud” Ferguson, and son-in-law, Lynn Roach.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-mother. She loved to cook and take care of all children.

She was survived by her sons, Herman Smith and wife Ruth, of Riner; Bobby Smith and wife, Brenda, of Pearisburg; and daughter, Mary Roach-Anderson and husband, Greg Anderson, of Roanoke; grandchildren, Andrew, Jeremy and wife, Penny, Michelle and husband, Aaron, Meredith and husband, Brett, Zachary, great-grandchildren, Ariel, Amber, Shawn, Tiffany, Carrington, Grayson, Hudson, McKinley, Madison, John, Drew, Brandon and Chris; great-great-grandchild, Zoie.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Chuck Pauley and the Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Friday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
