Smith, Palmer Duane

Palmer Duane (Buddy) Smith, 81 of Pulaski, departed this life on Thursday April 21, 2011 at Highland Ridge Rehabilitation Center. He was born on November 10, 1929 in Pulaski, and was the son of the late Mary Dott Turner Smith and Henry Dewey Smith. He was a retired supervisor for Harris Mechanical in Radford.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Smith. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Belva Alexander Smith: five sons; Barry D. Smith and his wife Sara of Greensboro, NC, Gary D. Smith of Dublin, Randall D. Smith of Dublin, Kelly L. Smith and his wife Tonya of Dublin, and Charles D. Smith of Pulaski: two sisters; Dawn Fisher of Vienna, and Janet Albert of Alcoa, TN. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and their spouses: Brea and Chris Miller, Niki and Jerod Dalton, Kayla and Ryan Anderson, Chandra Smith, Torrey Dishon, and Chelsey Smith: five great-grandchildren; Blake Dalton, Brock Dalton, Brynn Dalton, Dylan Miller, and Layla Hall.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Thornspring Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon at the funeral home from 12 Noon until 2:00 p.m. service time.
