Smith, Ophelia Belk

Ophelia Belk Smith, 102 of Dublin, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of Monday, January 30, 2023. Born on July 1, 1920, she was truly lady of grace and character who loved her family, friends and God.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Smith, and Winnie Starnes Belk. Joining her in heaven will be her late husband, Durward Bellemont Smith as well as a son, Douglas Howard Smith.

Left to cherish her memories is her son, Durward Alvin Smith and his wife Jane H Smith of Radford. Grandchildren, Christopher G. Smith (Toni) of Dublin, Deena S. Spence (Brian) of Dublin, Dawn S. Edson (Steve) of Colville, Washington, and Molly S. Entekin (Kevin) of Radford.

Left to continue with Ophelia’s great legacy will be 10 great-grandchildren and a very special and loving daughter in law, Rhonda Smith who is also from Dublin.

She also leaves behind her special and caring friends at the Dublin United Methodist Church.

A private graveside service will be held with Pastor Don Shelor officiating.

Norris Stevens Funeral Services, Pulaski Chapel will oversee the arrangements.
