Smith, Nichole Christine
Nichole Christine Smith, 38, of Pembroke, VA, departed this life on February 17th, 2018 in Roanoke, VA, to be reunited with her Lord and Savior. Nichole was born on December 24th, 1979 to Danny and Sharon Jones.
She was raised in Pearisburg, VA, where she attended Giles High School. She continued her education at Wytheville Community College, receiving a degree in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse with DaVita Dialysis Center. She was a member and regular attendee of Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead, VA.
She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, daughter, sister, nurse, and friend. She will forever be remembered by her kind, caring, and loving spirit and the joy she brought to everyone she knew in this life. Nichole loved her family deeply and unconditionally, especially her three precious boys, and her earthly presence will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 17 years, Jimmy Smith; sons, Conner, Weston, and Bryson Smith; mother and father, Danny and Sharon Jones; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jimmy and Gennie Smith; grandparents, Junior and Christine Stafford; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Danny Jones, Jr., Stephanie and Steven Simpkins, Amanda and Shannon Bowles, and Shawn and Michelle Jones; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Christina and Perry Martin, numerous nieces and nephews, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead VA with services at 7:00 pm officiated by Pastor Shahn Wilburn. Burial services will take place on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 10:00 am in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.

I am friends with Perry and Christina Martin and I have had the joy of meeting Nichole on several social occasions over the years. I deeply grieve for Nichole’s husband and children, they meant everything to Nichole and her love was evident with her bright face and smile as she spoke of them. God Keep Nichole and Family in Perfect Peace. God Bless you Jimmy, as you raise your precious sons.
