Smith, Matthew Howell “Hal”

Matthew Howell “Hal” Smith, 51, of Christiansburg, passed away September 13, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Pearl Smith; and a brother, Junior Smith.

He is survived by his children, Brandon Smith and Stacy Smith; grandchildren, Logan and Carson Smith, Hannah, Heaven, Steven, Tyler, and Nevaeh; siblings, Joe Smith and Brenda Martin; and nephews, Adam Smith, Bobby Martin, J. Dewayne Martin, and Johnny L. Martin. The family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at Horne Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Shepherd officiating.Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
