Smith, Linda Wolfe
On Friday, March 10, 2023 Linda W. Smith, 74 of Riner, passed away. Linda was born on April 28, 1948 in Blacksburg, VA, to the late Joseph F. Wolfe and Maggie Wolfe Parrish. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Vance E. Smith; and her brother, Donnie Wolfe.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law whom she really considered to be a son, Sandra Burress (Ronald); granddaughter and husband, Ashley Atkins (Sam); sister and brother-in-law, Juanita Cochran (Bob); brother, Jerry Wolfe (Lisa Linkous); nieces, Pat Hunter (Carl) and their son, Nathan Hunter (Kelly), Sharon Tolley (Lynn) and their son, Randy Tolley; other nieces and nephews, Lisa Wolfe and Scotty Wolfe, as well as many more that she loved. Also surviving are her sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Smith, Wanda Smith, Roberta Poff, Regina Kendrick (Bobby); and brother-in-law, Ray Smith (Jean).
Linda loved her family and special friends, Norma Cole and Valerie and Jerry Akers. Linda worked many years at Imperial Reading. She loved helping people so much she worked as a CNA for nearly 20 years at English Meadows Assisted Living in Christiansburg.
Linda loved spending time with her daughter Sandra and granddaughter Ashley – they loved going to Goodwill and other places to shop. She loved quilting, being outside with her flowers and her cat, Tom.
Linda attended The Christian Fellowship Tabernacle Church for many years. She was so fond of her former pastor, Rev. Earnest Fulcher, as well as her current pastor, Rev. and Mrs. Stephen Coffey.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at The Christian Fellowship Tabernacle Church. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Church with Rev. Stephen Coffey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.

Linda was the sweetest person that,I had the pleasure of knowing.She made my cousin Ed a wonderful loving wife,and she was a wonderful mother to Sandra.My heart felt prayers to you Sandra and your family.I know she will be truly missed.The Lord be with all of you.
