Smith Jr., Charlie Henry

Charlie Henry (Buster) Smith Jr., 94, of Draper, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2013, in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in Draper on April 25, 1919, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Edna Rigney Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine; sisters, Vera and Zelphne; and brothers, Wess and Ed.

Surviving are his children and spouses, Calvin and Carol Smith, of Draper, Kathy and Dick Golladay, of Roanoke; grandchildren and spouses, Sabrina and Mark Cox, Cherina and Tom Troy, Jeremey Smith, Angela Brooke Golladay and her husband, Adam Morgan; great-grandchildren, Jared, Carley, Wenzori, Sara Katherine, and Jocelyn.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ganett Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the Moore Cemetery, Draper with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1184. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
