Smith, Ellen Yvonne Cook

Ellen Yvonne Cook Smith, age 62, of Christiansburg died Monday, September 15, 2014 at the New River Valley Medical Center. She was born in Christiansburg, VA on September 19, 1951 to the late Frank Junior and Juanita Mae Ratcliff Cook and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Smith.

She is survived by her son, Shannon Mills and girlfriend, Lisa Shands of Christiansburg; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie Cook and wife, Jennifer of Christiansburg; grandchildren, Nina Abdi, Jesse Shands; very special friends, Arlene and Pat; special family friend, Jason Long; nephews, Matthew and Luke; special niece, Whitney Leigh. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 19, 2014 at 12:00 noon in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wes Conner officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
