Smith, Burnett

Burnett Smith, 64, of Pulaski, died early Monday morning July 16, 2012 in LewisGale Hospital–Pulaski. He was born Jan. 6, 1948 in Hindman, Ky., and was the son of the late Hattie Terry Smith and Earnest Smith.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam era.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharyn Galbreath Smith, and a brother, Jimmy Smith.

He is survived by his son, Anthony Smith and wife, Rachel, of Pulaski; a daughter, Angela Smith, of New Castle; four brothers; two sisters, and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21, 7 p.m., at Seagle Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-7 p.m. service time.

Flowers will be appreciated, but for those who wish, they may make memorial contributions in his memory to the V.F.W. Post 1184 Honor Guard P.O. Box 2005 Pulaski, VA 24301.

A funeral service will be held Friday, July 20, 1 p.m., at Hindman Funeral Services in Hindman, Ky. Burial will follow at Mountain Memorial Garden, Hindman, Ky. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Service.
