Smith, Betty Lee

Betty Lee Smith, 90 of Pulaski, went to her heavenly home on Monday, November 23, 2020. Betty was born in Allison, VA to the late William K. and Savannah Redd Smith.

She was a very loving and hard working lady who enjoyed helping people and giving to others. She was pleasant and had a big heart and great personality. She was a member of United Pentecostal Holiness Church on Johnson Street and later moved her membership to Spirit of Life Worship Center where she was a devoted member. She loved to cook and would babysit the children in the entire neighborhood. She was a cook at Outs Grill for years. She also loved to fish but had to have someone to put the bait on the pole. She had 3 wonderful children, Christine Smith, Pulaski, Katherine Carter (Earl) of Winston, Salem, NC, Renee Beverly of Pulaski, 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Betty truly oved the lord and would often be seen running around the church praising the Lord and quoting her favorite saying “Got My Ticket In My Hand”. She will be greatly missed.

Private Funeral service Sunday, November 30, 2020 1:00PM at Spirit of Life Church, Pulaski. Interment will be in Allsonia Family Cemetery, Allsonia, VA.
