Smith, Barbara Ann

Barbara Ann Smith, 56, of Floyd, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013. Barbara had a valiant fight with cancer over the past 10 years. She was a fighter and a survivor with a kind and giving heart. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Bobby Smith; children, Michael Taylor, Melissa Cassavaw, Sandra Howell, Cindy Glover, Deniece Hubbard; brothers, James Barnes, Joe Barnes; sisters, Joanne Griffin, Glenda Forester, Gloria South; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren with Rev. Marvin Wade officiating. Interment to follow at the Duncan Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
