Smith, Anthony Todd

Anthony (Todd) Smith, 31, of Blacksburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior and to hold his baby girl, Alexis, again on Saturday, March 17, 2007.

He was born in Montgomery County, Va. on July 22, 1975. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Burtle and Mary Songer; his paternal grandmother, Edith Carter Clyburn; aunt, Louise Dowdy. Todd was a loving husband and father.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Angel Smith of Blacksburg; two sons, Daniel Todd Smith and Nathaniel Todd Smith, both of Blacksburg; parents, Jerry and Kathy Carter of Blacksburg, Walter Smith of Giles County; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bobby and Angela Overstreet of Christiansburg; brother-in-law, Jamie Witt and his children, Michael, Holly, Abby, and Alex, all of Christiansburg; half brother and sisters-in-law, Chris and Shirley Smith of Giles County and their children, Stacey and Gage Smith of Giles County; paternal grandfather, Claude Clyburn of Radford; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 22, 2007 at 2 p.m. in the North Fork Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry Gibson and Pastor Jimmie Lee Price officiating. Interment will follow in the North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, Ellett. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
