Smith, Anna Stevers

Anna Pearl Stevers Smith, 76, of Blacksburg, died Friday, July 4, 2008, at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

She was born in Rich Creek, Giles County, Va. on December 15, 1931 to the late Mason and Josephine Hunter Robinson Stevers. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Warren Douglas Bailey and her second husband, Winston Douglas Smith, Sr., a daughter, Juanita Anderson and two sons, Michael Bailey and Steve Randall Bailey.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Anna and Ronnie Criner of Christiansburg, Barbara and Billy McCoy of Giles County, Linda and Roger Cook of Blacksburg, Frances Collins of Blacksburg, Loretta Farley of Carroll County; son, Winston D. Smith, Jr. of Blacksburg; twenty grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 7, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. James O. Flaugher officiating. Interment will follow the Stevers Family Cemetery, Wolf Creek, Giles County, Va.

Friends may call any time after 12 noon Sunday and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
