Slusser, Billie Shannon

Billie Shannon Slusser, 67, of Pembroke, Va., died on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born in Monterey, Calif., on June 29, 1942, to the late William Miles and Lois Nickell Loop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Leslie Slusser.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry and Susan Loop, of Jadwin, Mo., Eddie and Shirley Loop, of Chino Valley, Ariz., and Lane Loop, of Pembroke, Va.; special friend, Robin Neumister; stepdaughters and stepson-in-law, Andrea and Bernie Carbone, and Heidi Elizabeth Brown, all of Rhode Island; five step grandchildren; one stepgreatgrandchild; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Geraldine “Deen” and James Chambers, of Hayden, Idaho; aunts, Margaret “Maggie” Harris and Trudy Albert; uncle, John Slusser, all of Blacksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be conducted 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, 2010, in the Westview Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, Va.
