Mary Lou Slusher, 65 of Pearisburg, VA passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Rich Creek, VA. Ms Slusher was born on April 21, 1948 in Giles County, VA and was the daughter of the late Wilson and Dorothy Slusher. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister Mona, sister Becky Slusher, one brother Randy Slusher. She is survived by one sister, Rosa Slusher of Pearisburg, one brother Dusty Slusher and wife Pat of Salem, two aunts, Betty Eads and husband Tom, Mary Jane Bartley and one uncle Johnny Ratcliffe and wife Linda all of Pearisburg, three nephews, Jordan Slusher, Chris Slusher and his wife Tiffany and Mike Slusher and his wife Carlin, one grand nephew, Vance and one grand niece, Mollie. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 11:00am at the Givens Funeral Chapel in Pearisburg with the Rev. Dr. Brian Burch officiating with burial following at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home two hours before the service from 9 – 11am.
