Scott Michael Slayman, 53, of Dublin, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 23, 2007. He was registered as an AMA and president of the New River Valley Aces. Scott was also a member of the Princeton Radio Control Society. Scott worked as a Computer Specialist for Montgomery County Schools.

He is survived by his wife, Sissie E. Slayman; daughter, Catherine Victoria Slayman of Dublin; mother, Mary Slayman of Christiansburg; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia Ann Hollie and Andrew Lennox Barnes of Jackson Pines, N.J.; brother and sister-in-law, John Earl and Donna Kay Slayman of Glenn Allen, Va.; mother-in-law, Mae Dobbins of Buckeye Lake, Ohio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ron and Debbie Alcorn of Christiansburg, Va., Morgan and Regina Mullins, Skipper and Rocky Dobbins, both of Buckeye Lake, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Radford with Father Kenneth Shuping officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. Friends may call after 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m.
