Slaughter, Phyllis D.

Phyllis D. Slaughter, 67, of Willis, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Slaughter; and grandson, Brandon M. Slaughter.

Survivors include her daughter, Pamela Jo Slaughter Howard, Willis. Va.; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven R. and Melody Slaughter, Willis, Va., Daryl (Her Boy) and Holly Slaughter, Charlotte, N.C., Dale and Sherry Slaughter, Willis, Va.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Lee and Dean Stutzman, Port Charlotte, Fla., Sally and Joe Russo, Naples, Fla.; grandchildren, Kayla M. Slaughter, Jessie Slaughter Howard, Haley J. Slaughter, Duncan I. Slaughter.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2007 at Willis United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Josh Kilbourne officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery, Willis. Friends may call at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, after 12 noon Saturday, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Willis United Methodist Church, 5669 Floyd Highway South, Willis, Va. 24380; or American Diabetes Association, 530 E.
