Slaughter, Doris Scott

Doris Scott Slaughter, 73, of Draper, departed this life on Monday, December 29, 2014. She was born in Pulaski, on September 14, 1941, to the late Edward and Madeline Price Scott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Caldearry Graham Slaughter.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Burnett Clark Jr., of Upland, Calif., Cassandra C. (Samuel) Sylvester, of Fayetteville, N.C., Michael Barry Clark, Bridgett Slaughter and Carolyn (Charles) Slaughter-Smith, all of Draper; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015, at First Baptist Church, 220 Magazine Street, Pulaski, with the Rev. Edward Slaughter officiating and the Rev. Douglas A. Slaughter, Eulogist. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. There will be no viewing on Thursday.
