Mildred Worrell Sisson, 88, of Shawsville, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Beverly D. Sisson; parents, Rev. George C. Worrell and Eura Spangler Worrell; as well as 5 brothers; 10 sisters; and a son-in-law, Randy Baldwin.

She is survived by 5 sons, David (Cindy) Sisson, Elliston, Gary (Sharon) Sisson, Shawsville, Allen (Margaret) Sisson, Shawsville, Missionary Doug (Becky) Sisson, General Santos City, Philippines, and Phillip (Cindy) Sisson, Shawsville; 2 daughters, Betsy (Danny) Wimmer, Salem, and Lisa Baldwin, Roanoke; sister, Dorothy Keaton, Pipestem, WV; 20 grandchildren, Joel Sisson, Julie (Clyde) Anderson, Mark (Shannon) Sisson, Brian (Heather) Sisson, Chris (Leslie) Sisson, Adam (Amber) Sisson, Kendall Sisson, Scarlett Sisson, Jon (Kristine) Sisson, Abigail (Ryan) Narsolis, David (Ruthie) Sisson, Hannah (Ron) Sarmiento, Andrew Sisson, Matt (Gabby) Sisson, Crystal Masanja, Angel (Chance) Craft, Jake Wimmer (Peggy), David (Angel) Sisson, Jeffery (Cary) Baldwin, Daniel Baldwin; 24 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; as well as a special nephew, J.P. Hale

Our family would like to thank Raleigh Court Rehab and especially Spencer Masanja for their loving care of our Mom.

A Celebration of her life will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Sowder’s Chapel Baptist Church, 2641 Alleghany Spring Road, Shawsville, VA 24162. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Service will conclude at Piedmont Cemetery.
