Simpkins, James Russell

James Russell “Russ” Simpkins, of Pulaski passed away on July 6, 2020 at his home. He was 49. He was born in Radford, VA on November 30, 1970.

Russ was preceded in death by his father Osgood Simpkins, his grandparents, a niece and several aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Simpkins; brother, Joshua Simpkins and wife Judi; sister, Katie Pelkey and husband Allen; nephews, Gerald Simpkins, Walt Simpkins, Nick Simpkins, Greg Pelkey and wife, Jennifer; niece, Sara Rogers and husband Shawn; great nephews, Dylan Haley, Nathan Simpkins, Blaine Rogers and Kayson Rogers; great nieces, Kaylee Pelkey, Harley Janney and Ava Pelkey; multiple uncles, aunts and cousins; and many friends.

A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held at Horne Funeral Home on Sunday, July 19, 2020, from 2-3pm.
