Cora Trail Simpkins, 86, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015. She was a retired seamstress with Russell Apparel. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Jeannie Trail, and son, Johnny Ray Simpkins. Her most favorite saying was “the one thing I am most proud of is my children.”

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Larry Roop of Christiansburg, Karen Wills of Draper, Gloria Minnick of Radford, and Patsy and James Bishop of Snowville; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Donna Simpkins of Hillsville, Shane and Eileen Simpkins of Draper, Jimmy and Melissa Simpkins of Radford, Timmy Simpkins of Radford, and Joey and Kris Simpkins of Christiansburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Ethel Trail of Radford, Tom and Mary Jane Trail of Radford, and Robert and Loraine Trail of South Carolina; sister, Judy Sarver of Radford; 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Highland Ridge and Pulaski Hospital for their wonderful care.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. James Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
