Charlotte Leomia Simpkins, 80, of Christiansburg, passed away on December 6, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley B. Bishop, and Annie (Mearl) Likins. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Coy H. Simpkins; four sons, Howard Simpkins, and wife, Bobbie, of Dublin, Shannon Simpkins, and wife, Charlene, of Ellett Valley, Darrien Simpkins, and special friend, Jennifer Buckley, of Christiansburg, and Michael Shane Simpkins, and wife, Teresa, of Christiansburg; brothers, Earl Bishop, and wife, Agnes, of Moneta, and Jimmy Bishop, and wife, Alice, of Draper; sisters, Rebecca Mannings, and husband, Craig, of Radford, Mary Jo Assaid, of Floyd, and Frances Clark, and husband, Steve, of Winchester; two granddaughters; two grandsons; one step grandson; and one step granddaughter. Charlotte was a loving wife and mother, and was a charter member of the Radford Seventh-Day Adventist Church. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m., on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the Horne Funeral Home & Crematory. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
