Emily Louise Silver, 49, of Dublin, Va., formerly of White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., on August 11, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Albert Walter and Mary Jane Frye Brooks. Emily lived a fun and achieving life, always putting others first. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, wife and grandmother. Emily is survived by her husband, Barry Wayne Silver Sr. (48); two sons, Charles Edward Cade IV (30) with wife, Stephanie Anne Cade (29), and Barry Wayne Silver Jr. (25) with wife, Heather Lacey Hayman (25); and four grandchildren, Morgan Jane Cade (9), Charles Edward Cade V “Chase” (1), Elena Raine Silver (2), and Klorin Star Leger (7). A private memorial service was held 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Gribble officiating. The body was cremated at her request. Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs served the family.
