Shuford, Margaret E.

amem_resurrection.jpgMargaret E. (Peggy) Shuford, 80, of Christiansburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, March 3, 2008, at her home with her family by her side.

Peggy was a devoted wife to her husband, a devoted mother to her three children and she was deeply loved by her grandchildren and extended family. Peggy touched the lives of everyone she met with her heart of compassion and kindness. She was the kind of person that once you met her, you would never forget her. Actively involved in her church, she timelessly served teaching Sunday school, helping on committees and involved in missions. Peggy served her family in the same timeless, unselfish manner. We as her family will deeply miss her everyday, but look forward to that blessed reunion with her in Heaven.

The daughter to the late Felix Woodson and Annie Colgate Clements, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Tom and Mac Clements, of Saxe, Va. She is survived by her husband, Karl Y. Shuford; a son, Phillip Thomas Shuford; daughters and son-in-law, Phyllis Ann Shuford, Karen Kaye Shuford Johnson and her husband, David L. Johnson.
