shrewsbury_davidJames David Shrewsbury, 68, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at his home in Dublin. He was a member of Dublin United Methodist Church, a retired electrical engineer for Appalachian Power Co., a current member of Dublin Town Council, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Peppers Ferry Water Authority.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Clyde and Ruby Lou Hodge Shrewsbury, and two brothers-in-law, Robert Keatley and Jerry Bailey.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Charlotte Gregory Shrewsbury; son, David Todd and wife Amy Dobbins Shrewsbury of Claytor Lake; daughter Lisa Annette and husband Thomas Lynn Tucker of Claytor Lake; 3 grandchildren, Charlotte Marie “Charlie”, Sarah Anne and David Hunter; sisters and brother-in-law, Connie Keatley, Sandra Bailey and Wanda and Russ Mitchem; and numerous relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2016 at the Dublin United Methodist Church. Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. with Pastor Don Hanshew and Rev. Mike Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, W.Va.
