Shrewsbury, Howard Ward

Howard Ward Shrewsbury, 90, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at his home in Dublin. He was a U. S. Navy veteran having served during WWII and retired from Celanese.

Howard was born in Beeson, WVA, the son of the late Leeton and Stella Burton Shrewsbury. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Brookman Shrewsbury, brother, Virgil Shrewsbury, and sisters, Delma McCormick and Josephine Dunagan.

Survivors include his sister, Opal Pittelli; sister-in-laws, Georgia Shrewsbury, and Barbara and Don Branscome; brother-in-law, Roy and Eva Brookman; nieces and nephews, Bill and Kathy Rose, Steve and Julie Brookman, Tommy and Kristen Brookman, Missy and Wayne Pannell, Cindy and Gary Elliott, Jeannie Brookman, Mike and Cindy McCormick, and Judy McCormick; and many great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all the nurses at Highland Ridge Nursing and Rehab and New River Valley Medical Center.

Services will be private.
