Shorter, Jeffrey Lynn

Jeffrey Lynn Shorter, age 50, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at his home in Peterstown, WV. Born May 4, 1971, in Hinton, WV, he was the son of the late Lula Katherine Shorter Jones.

Jeffrey was of the Christian Faith and had his own construction company. He loved being outdoors and spending time hunting and fishing.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ennis and Myrtle Shorter. Survivors include his companion for over 30 years, Nita Thomas of Peterstown, WV; one brother, Floyd Shorter and wife Brenda of Peterstown, WV; one sister, Donna Shaver and husband David of Peterstown, WV; three step-children, Katelyn Canterbury, Payton Shrader, and Mason Shrader; nephews, Nathan Shorter and wife Tanya, and Robbie Shorter; great nephews and great nieces, Lyla, Kyler, Aba-Gail, and Able; uncle, Jim Shorter and wife Linda; and step-father, Robert Alton Jones.
