Sherman, Grandon Brainard

sherman_grandon_brainardGrandon Brainard (Baby Sherm) Sherman, 20, of New River, Va., passed away Friday May 21, 2010, due to injuries he sustained in an ATV accident. Born in New River, July 14, 1989, Grandon graduated from Pulaski County High School Class of 2007. He was a faithful member of First Missionary Baptist Church New River, where he used his musical talents to serve God as a drummer. Grandon had a special place in his fathers heart. His pleasant smile will be sadly missed by all who loved him. Grandon was employed with New River Valley Community Services, previously employed with Long John Silvers where he loved his friends and fellow coworkers. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy L. Crouse Sr., Oscar Orlando Sherman Sr.; and cousin, (Little Kevin) Kevin Crouse. He leaves to cherish his memory, two loving parents, Grant and Pamela Sherman; grandparents, Dorothy Sherman, Ora Crouse; one sister, Shawnnaca Levette Hayden; one brother, Richard Hayden Jr. and wife, Cambria; best friend, Chris Calfee; special cousins, Tameca Crouse, Marcus Crouse, Jayden Akers; special nieces and nephews, Dhaytori Hayden, Demarcus Hayden, Kiontre Hayden, Christopher Hayden; and a host of relatives and friends. The family would like to thank everyone for their loving care and support. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 27, 2010, at 2 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in New River. Interment to follow at New River Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2010, at First Missionary Baptist Church and at the residence.
