Terrell Bentley Sheppard, 69, of Prices Fork, died Monday, August 21, 2006, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He was born in Montgomery County, Virginia on January 17, 1937 to the late Lincoln Bentley and Pansy Gladys Hutchinson Sheppard. Terrell was superintendent over property maintenance for, the town of Blacksburg with 42 years of service and also a veteran of 101 Airborne Division in the US Army. He was an avid hunter and loved working with cutting horses. He was a faithful member of the Prices Fork United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Jones Sheppard of Prices Fork; daughters and sons-in-law, Terri S. and Tom W. Scott of Charlotte, N.C., Angela S. and Rusty Cupp of Prices Fork; son, T. Barry Sheppard of Prices Fork; sisters, Jean Alls of Prices Fork and Betty Watson of Williamsburg, Va.; grandchildren, Amanda, Clay, Erika, Sterling, Madison, Jocy, Samantha, and Lincoln; daughter-in-law, Pam Sheppard of Ellett.

The family would like to thank everyone for your support and prayers and especially Dr. David Stoeckle and Dr. Harry McCoy and staffs for the care that was shown.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 24, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stan Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Christiansburg. Friends may call anytime after 12 noon Wednesday, and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Drive SW, Blacksburg.
