Sheppard, Ronald Franklin

Ronald Franklin (Ronnie) Sheppard, 49, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Friday, April 2, 2010, at the home with his mom and dad by his side. He is survived his parents, LeRoy and Linda Sheppard; his daughter, Roni Leigh Sheppard; and granddaughter, Lillian Belle Whitt, of Alderson, W.Va. He is also survived by his sister, Tammy Fitzkee and husband, Wes; nieces who loved their uncle “BoBo”, Nicole Detchemendy, LaKen Detchemendy Allie Fitzkee, and Courtney Martin; greatniece, Madison Akers; and nephew, Jody “Bubba” Akers Jr. Ronnie loved the great outdoors, fishing, hunting and cooking. He also loved his Mt. in West Virginia, which will be his final resting place. A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, April 5, 2010, at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Horne Funeral Home with the Rev. Emmett Sheppard officiating.
