Sheppard, Geneva Juanita Grimmett

Geneva Juanita Grimmett Sheppard, 80 of Pulaski died Thursday March 17, 2011 in Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Blacksburg. She was born September 1, 1930 in Hinton, WVA, and was the daughter of the late Ola Lorraine Miller Grimmett and Bert Elmer Grimmett. She was retired from Jefferson Mills in Pulask. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son; Rodney Allen Sheppard, brothers, Harry and Newton Grimmett, Paul, Harry, Vernon, and Bruce sisters; Halie M. Ross, Katherine Viers, and Mary Durie, and Mildred Hardenbrok. She is survived by a grandson, Michael Sheppard of Pulaski, a granddaughter, Michelle Sheppard of Florida, a daughter-in-law; Doris Slate Sheppard of Pulaski, a brother; Junior Grimmett of Washington State. Also survived by three great granddaughters, Shana Farmer, Hailey Sheppard, and Alayna Sheppard and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday March 20, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
