Shepherd, Shirley D.

Shirley D. Sheppard, age 84, of Radford died, Saturday, July 31, 2021 at her home. She was born in Montgomery County, Va. on April 13, 1937. She is preceded in death by her son, Frankie Price, sister, Reda Hixon, brothers, James Graves and Curtis Graves.

Shirley was a very loving and caring wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a cook for the children at Carousel Daycare for 30-plus years.

She is survived her husband, Lewis Sheppard, children, James Price (Allen), Kendall Price, Danny Price, Scott Sheppard, grandchildren, Breanna Price, April Price, Travis Price, Tiffany Price, great-grandchildren, Isabella Johnson, Calista Price, Chyanne Byrd, Elsie Byrd, Lily Price, Maddy Price, Declan Price, Reid Price, Rayeden Price, sister, Ruth Davis.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at 1:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Tim Spencer officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
