Shepherd, Donna Sue

Donna Sue Shepherd, 62, of Staffordsville, departed this life Thursday evening, April 12, 2018 at Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem. Born in Christiansburg on May 13, 1955 she was a daughter of the late Roy and Alice Ridpath Turpin. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Merrill, Alton, and Roger and her sister Katherine.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 42 years, John S. Shepherd; her children Phillip Shepherd and Melissa Shepherd of Staffordsville and Sam Cassell of Marion; her four grandchildren; her sister Brenda of California; and her brothers Barry, Jerry, and Wendel of Christiansburg.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, with Charlie Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 until 8 pm.
