Shepherd, Charles Wayne

Charles Wayne Shepherd, age 51, of Riner, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, Christiansburg. Charlie was born in Montgomery County, VA on January 5, 1968 to Jack and Dot Shepherd. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Andy and Lindsey Shepherd of Christiansburg, Connor Shepherd of Greenville, SC; step-daughter, Kellie Whittaker and children of Christiansburg; companion, Linda Carroll of Riner and her children and grandchildren. Charlie was a hard and dedicated worker who loved his family and the Lord. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Tibbs officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Blacksburg. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
