Shelton, James Ray
James Ray Shelton, age 88 of Pulaski passed away Sunday, August 17, 2008 at the Wythe Community Hospital. Born November 14, 1919 in Snowville, he was the son of the late James Jethro Shelton & Ora Nebraska Hollinsworth. His wife; Lattie Bell Simpkins Shelton, brother; Johnny Willard Shelton and two sisters; Opal Mae Simpkins and Shirley Jean Higgs also preceded him in death.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in WWII. He was retired from Lynchburg Foundry with over 32 years of service and was also a Pentecostal Holiness preacher.
He is survived by

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Don Sizemore officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin where the V.F.W. Post #1184 will conduct full military honors.
