Shelor, Ruth Wickham

Ruth Wickham Shelor, 91, of Christiansburg, passed away March 29, 2014, at Highland Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Dublin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston E. Shelor; parents, Frank & Clara Wickham; sisters, Allene Woods, Frances Williams, and Jean W. Clifton; and a brother, Howard L. Wickham.

She is survived by her son, David Shelor, Sr. and fiancée, Betty Spence of Christiansburg; grandsons, David Shelor, Jr. and wife, Leisa Shelor, Blacksburg, and Christopher Shelor and wife, Kandee Shelor of Florence, SC; great-grandchildren, Trey, Chas, Mason & Brock Shelor; sisters, Sandra Zender and Louise Papayonis; and all her friends in her bridge club.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at St. Paul United Methodist Church. The Funeral Service will be held directly after at 1 p.m. with Rev. Charles DeHart officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg.
