Shelor, Frank Jefferson

Frank J. Shelor, 75, of Floyd, Va., passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruster and Elizabeth Shelor; sister and brotherin-law, Mary Elizabeth and Gorden Pilson; sister, Virginia Smith; brother, Charles Shelor. He served in the Army from May 1952 to May 1954 during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Ileda Shelor; daughters, Belva Shelor, Melva Shelor; brother and sistersin-law, Lewis and Isabel Shelor, Francis Shelor; brother-in-law, Jack Smith; mother-in-law, Eula W. Martin; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jane and Richard Shank, Louise and Thomas Hall, Mary and W.B. Nolen; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Pat Blackwell, Kenneth and Kathy Blackwell; stepbrothers-in-law, Fred Quesenberry and Eugene Quesenberry; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, April 1, 2007, at Floyd United Methodist Church with the Rev. Richard Gregory, the Rev. Robert Blackwell, and the Rev. Thomas Hall officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Floyd County Rescue P.O.
