Shelor, Jr., Frank Allen

Frank Allen Shelor Sr., 64, of Riner, Va., passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Shelor; and his father, Claude Shelor. He was born on January 15, 1946, in Montgomery County, Va.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara B. Shelor; sisters, Mary and Bert Collins, and Nancy and Dwight Price, both of Blacksburg, Va.; brothers, Robert and Dorothy Shelor, and Terry and Janice Shelor, all of Christiansburg, Va., and Larry and Queenie Shelor, of Dublin, Va.; daughters, Francine Hines, of Georgia, and Christine and Frank Grey, Lenore and Richard Pickle, and Pamela Tenent, all of North Carolina; son, Frank Allen Shelor Jr., of North Carolina; stepdaughters, Lisa Hatcher, of Shawsville, Va., and Cynthia Price, of Blacksburg, Va.; stepsons, Roy Burton, of Radford, Va., Ray Burton, of Covington, Va., and Dwayne Burton, of Christiansburg, Va.; 11 grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, David Link and Bill Powell.

The family would like to give a special thanks to New Hope Church of God.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at New Hope Church of God. A Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2010, at the New Hope Church of God with Pastor T. Michael Bond and Pastor James Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery.
