Shelor, Dorothy Conner
Dorothy Marie Conner Shelor, age 84, of Ripplemead, VA. passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Heritage Hall Rehab in Rich Creek, VA. She was born at Meadows of Dan in Patrick County, Virginia, to the late Homer Ellis Conner and Nannie Ruth Hylton Conner.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Edward Shelor, brothers Carl and Lyle Conner, sister Nellie Largen. Surviving are sons Dennis and Dale Shelor of Ripplemead, VA, brother-in-law John Shelor and wife Thelma of Radford, sister-in-law Eula Shelor of Dublin, many neices and nephews.
Mrs. Shelor attended Redeemer Lutheran Church in Pearisburg, VA, and requested there be no funeral or visitation. A graveside service will be held at 11AM, Monday, July 22, 2019 at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, VA with Pastor Buddy Beaver officiating.
A memorial luncheon will be held at Noon, Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Edgewood Methodist Church in Ripplemead, VA.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Shelor requested donations be made to Roanoke Valley SPCA, 1340 Baldwin Ave NE, Roanoke, VA 24012. (540) 339-9247.

Marie will always be remembered by our family as always smiling and bringing a ray of cheer wherever she went. Heaven just got even brighter! Boys, I thought very highly of your Mother, and Pray for Strength and Guidance when You need it most.
