Shelor, Betty Bower

Betty Bower Shelor, age 75, of Christiansburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Christiansburg, VA on August 16, 1946 to the late Kyle and Lucille Britt Bower. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kyle Bower, Jr.; brother-in-law, Leo Middleton, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, David E. Shelor, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Ralph Collins; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff and Tabatha Dulaney, Lee Dulaney, Chris and Kandee Shelor, David and Leisa Shelor,; grandchildren, Sasha McCraw and husband, Michael, Samantha McCollum and husband, Will, Jarrid Dulaney and wife, Kaitlin, Casi Dulaney, Zach Dulaney, Jeffrey Dulaney, Trey Shelor, Chas Shelor, Mason Shelor, Brock Shelor; great-grandchild, Karmen Thompson; sister, Barbara Middleton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kevin Albert officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
