Shelor, Arnold Lee

Arnold Lee Shelor, age 87, of Blacksburg died, Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at his home. He was born in Blacksburg on July 20, 1929 to the late Charlie R. and Lucy Bolt Shelor. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Geraldine Shelor.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Blacksburg First Church of God and retired from Federal Mogul with 33 years of service.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Janie and Mike Rasnake, Christiansburg, Connie Shelor, Blacksburg, son, Roger Shelor, Blacksburg, brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Betty Shelor, Blacksburg, grandchild, Angel Fridley and husband, Chris, Christiansburg, great-grandchild, Karsyn Lane Fridley, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor David Ansley officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg with military honors.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Blacksburg First Church of God 110 Roanoke St. E, Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Thursday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
